This is a great gift. It's really a gift of convenience. It allows you to immediately print off a digital photo and put it in a picture frame without ever leaving the house, waiting an hour (or more) for the photos to be printed - or worse - wait weeks for you to have enough good shots to justify the trip to the local photo development lab.

The photos will look pretty good, depending on the paper that you get, and can sometimes rival the development labs' quality. Chances are, however, that you will spend a few cents more per photo, because of cost of paper and ink. Of course, having this convenient tool doesn't lock you in to using it when producing an entire "roll" (memory stick) of photos. You will likely still visit the photo development lab for that. But for those great shots that you want to send with a friend or family member who visted, this is perfect!
