Memory cards for cameras are also falling in price. Now is the perfect time to buy more capacity for your camera. I have looked over several of the major brands, and it looks like sanDisk appears to be one of the favorites in this category. They make a very low-cast, fast memory card, and most all of the reviews are favorable.

The biggest decision is how much capacity to buy, but with the costs so low, I'd recommend 1gb ... or 512mb at the very minimum.

Things to look for

Professionals will likely care more about speed than the average person. If you are transfering lots of photos, you also might get annoyed while waiting for it to complete. If you are impatient, expect to pay about 20% more for extreme speed editions of the cards.
